I have an integrated Zanussi ZIDW 956 dishwasher, which is 11 years old. It won’t complete a full cycle and the ‘A’ light keeps flashing. I have underatken the measures recommended in the service manual but can’t access the inflow valve. I live in Darling Point and can be contacted on 0418408753.

I have a Norris BT-500 gold medal series

its not draining properly, when i press the start button to drain, it only start pumping after about 96 seconds and only last for 10 seconds and stop, the wash tank is still full of water, and after i keep doing this process four times, the rinse operate and fill the tank full again, so i can never empty the wash tank

also it is not heating at all, so the wash and rinse light can never turn on, unless on test mode.

  thanks for returning my call so efficiently
  
  since I will expecting you next week, let me explain the situation as best as i could.
  
  1. drain option and wash option only work on test mode ( if not put in test mode, the rinse and wash ready light never come on )
  2.the rinse tank is not heating up
  3. on test mode in drain option, when i press start, the drain pump does not start immediately, but after 96 seconds . and when i hear the water is pumping out from the drain, it only last for 5 seconds. so very little amount of water is pumped out.
  4.after 4 times of continuous attempt to drain the water, the rinse automatically kick in and fill up the tank ,so the wash tank can never to drain empty
  5.in test mode, the wash and rinse works but the water is not hot
  
  Norris service agent tried to change the 2 relays, the pressure switch, use the indicator showing that the thermo stat is ok, power is going into the rinse tank element.
  
  this is the older BT-500 model (gold medal series), run on mechanic timer and there are no 1 min/2 min/5 min cycle option.
  
  this model only have 1 cycle time. with the drain button next to the power button.
  
  I am sure you are more experienced on trouble shooting.

Whenever a clothes dryer takes way to long to dry a great deal of laundry, it’s often not the clothes dryer that’s responsible but is a dust blockage. When the dryer is operating and you are not receiving dry clothing have a look at the dryer vent and duct work.
